Dr. Fox will first meet with the patient for an initial 90-minutes evaluation to collect background information, determine in psychological testing is warranted, and evaluate the fit between the patient and Dr. Fox. Sometimes psychological testing is not appropriate, and related referrals and recommendations will be provided.
Following the initial evaluation, Dr. Fox will begin collecting and reviewing records and self-report surveys, consulting with other psychologists and professionals, and developing the patient's assessment plan. The patient's in-person testing appointments will then be scheduled.
After the in-person testing appointments are completed, Dr. Fox will review records, score tests, interpret the results, and write the patient's psychological report, including specific recommendations.
Once the patient's psychological report is complete, Dr. Fox will meet with the patient and their family (if appropriate) to explain the results and recommendations.
This process takes time and patience to collect documentation and develop your assessment battery, and score and interpret the findings. Dr. Fox asks that patients and their families consider this.
